245 Days. Not One Application. Now This Shelter Dog Is Starting to Wonder If Anyone Can Even See Him
Batman, Pretty, and Gusto have been residents at Manhattan ACC (Animal Care Centers of NYC) for several months. These three beautiful pups don’t share a kennel. Rather, they share something much deeper — the pain of being ignored over and over again. (Watch Video Below)

It breaks our hearts to admit that these pups have never gotten even one adoption application. No single visitor has ever looked at them and thought, “I want to take this one home.” Batman, Pretty, and Gusto have watched dogs who’ve barely clocked 24 hours at the shelter find homes. They’ve seen the new arrivals get adopted even before all their details were added to the shelter’s website. Yet for them, they try so hard to get noticed……..but nothing.
If you’re still reading this, please don’t let these three beautiful dogs languish in the shelter kennel any longer. They’re desperately counting on you to ask about them, meet them, and most importantly, welcome them into your home, forever.
Batman — Waiting 245 Days

Meet 4-year-old Batman, a mixed breed who charms everyone with his gentleness and sweet personality. Batman believes no walk is epic enough if he doesn’t carry his favorite toy. This handsome boy would do well in a home where he is the only pet, but if you promise him slow introductions, he’ll agree to co-exist with your other dogs.
Batman is such a calm pup, so best believe, he won’t overwhelm you with unending chaos. And if we’re being honest, his passion for chasing leaves needs a thorough study. To adopt Batman, learn more here.
Gusto — Waiting 206 Days

If your idea of the perfect dog includes a certified couch potato, we promise you, 4-year-old Gusto doesn’t make the cut. Gusto is a ball of energy who’s ever ready to go, go, go. He wakes up every morning with one goal in mind: to make the day extra fun.
Gusto needs someone who understands that having “too much energy” isn’t an imperfection, it’s a blessing. Beyond his contagious energy is an exceptionally affectionate dog who just wants to love on someone for the rest of his life. Gusto needs a patient, experienced owner who’ll continue teaching him how to put his boundless energy into productive use. To adopt Gusto, learn more here.
Pretty — Waiting 167 Days

Pretty may be ten years old, but her love for playtime can outshine that of a puppy’s. She’s got the perfect balance of youthful excitement and senior-dog-calmness, and we have a feeling this might become your favorite thing about her.
Pretty was surrendered to the shelter after her previous owners ended their relationship. She prefers a home where she’s the only pet, and one without smaller kids. We warn you, Pretty’s kisses are so random and slobbery, they’ll leave you blushing in public. To adopt pretty, learn more here.
